Lyndon Strategies serves as the aviation consultant of record for the Landrum & Brown, Inc. team on the Port Authority New York New Jersey Airport Layout Plan (ALP) Ugrades and Other Regulatory Documents Development and Revisions Updates project led by the Port Authority New York New Jersey.
Scope Includes:
- FAA and Airside Operations Functional Plan Validation Regulatory & Compliance Assessment
- Review and summarize applicable FAA regulations, standards, and guidance (e.g. Part 139, Part 77, air traffic control tower siting, FARs relating to general aviation, safety management) relevant to the terminal and concourse project.
- Airside Operations & Functional Needs Analysis: Support Design Team in assessing how proposed NTB will impact or require changes in airside operations. Define functional requirements, constraints, and interfaces.
- Air Traffic Control & Line of Sight Analysis: Evaluate requirements for maintaining necessary line-of-sight for air traffic control (tower visibility of aircraft, taxiways, apron) and other safety needs (e.g., operations oversight, vehicle and aircraft movement). Identify critical sight lines, obstructions, and mitigation strategies (tower height, placement, camera‐/sensor‐based supplements).
